CAPTAIN'S
MESSAGE:
If you were not one of the 43 participants in
Guy Doherty's Aircraft Maintenance 5th Annual Seminar held at the
Billy Bishop Airport, Owen Sound, (CYOS) on the February 28, you
certainly missed out on a great day! It started at 0830hrs for
registration, with seminars starting at 0900hrs and finishing at
1500hrs.
Speakers were Wayne Juniper, Transport Canada; Don Edwards, Edwards
Fuel (Shell Products); Michel Treskin, Transport Canada;
and Tim Crawford, ECI Aviation Insurance. Their
individual presentations were well prepared and given in a
professional manner. All this with a fabulous lunch and virtually
everybody went home with at least one prize ..... for only $5.00 AND
you receive your mandatory Transport Canada recurrency sticker good
for 2 years for your pilot's log book!!
The highlight of the day was when Ole T. Nielsen, Regional Manager for
Transport Canada presented Guy with a nicely framed portfolio of
Recognition Certificate in appreciation for his outstanding
contribution to Aviation. As mentioned before, this was Guy's 5th
seminar, but the first award of this nature ever given out by
Transport Canada! Well done Guy, and on behalf of those who attended
your event a big vote of THANKS! Also, THANKS to Wayne Juniper, Michel
Treskins, Don Edwards and Tim Crawford for your great presentations!!
