CAPTAIN'S
MESSAGE:
For those of you who
missed Guy Doherty's 4th Annual Winter Maintenance Seminar on February
19 at Billy Bishop Regional Airport, it was truly your loss!
A big tip of the cap goes
out to Guy for organizing this fine evening complete with
refreshments, hand-outs and door prizes, virtually for each and every
one of the 38 folks that attended!
Starting off the Seminar, at 1600 hours, was Rick Busch, Eastern Regional Marketing Manager of Champion Aerospace Inc., who flew to Canada from Liberty, South Carolina, and returned to South Carolina the same day. Now that is dedication!! Rick gave us an hour talk on sparkplugs, their history and also new products that are coming to the aviation market. Thank you Rick, Job Well Done!! For the last hour of the evening, Wayne Juniper, a Civil Aviation Inspector with Transport Canada, gave up an update on what you, the owner of an aircraft, can or cannot do in the way of maintenance on your plane. This was the second or third time I have had the pleasure to sit in on one of Wayne's talks and must say that he is the best by far of any Transport Canada personnel that I have ever heard! This man is enthusiastic and dedicated, along with being able to get his message across in terms that is understood by all. Thank you Wayne! (sorry your team from Barrie lost). I would like to say THANK YOU Guy for all your efforts in putting on this fine evening!
